AI visibility monitoring

Buyers increasingly ask AI assistants who to buy from, and the assistants answer with recommendations. AI visibility monitoring measures whether your brand is in those answers: named, recommended or cited, question by question, platform by platform. SearchIntel runs that measurement across six platforms and, unlike a dashboard, tells you what it means and what to do about it.

What AI visibility monitoring is

For twenty years brands tracked where they ranked in Google. In AI search there is no ranking to track: there is an answer, and your brand is either in it or it is not. AI visibility monitoring extends the job rank tracking did for traditional search into AI-generated answers. It asks the buying questions your customers actually ask, records each platform's answer, and measures three things:

Because answers vary run to run, single checks mislead. SearchIntel runs each question multiple times, typically five to ten, and reads the pattern rather than one response. The methodology page covers how the measurement is verified.

The six platforms it covers

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, plus Google's two AI search surfaces, AI Overviews and AI Mode. They are monitored separately because they disagree far more than most teams expect: in our June 2026 study of 100 neutral UK buying questions, only 5.3% of recommended brands were named by all six platforms for the same question, and 46.1% were named by only one. LLM brand monitoring on the conversational assistants and monitoring of Google's AI surfaces are one picture here, not two tools.

What makes SearchIntel's monitoring different

Common questions

Is this the same as SEO rank tracking?

No. Rank tracking measures position on a results page. AI visibility monitoring measures whether you are inside the answer itself, which is decided differently on every platform and cannot be read from rankings. The longer version of that distinction is in AI SEO vs AI visibility.

How often does monitoring run?

Typically monthly for client programmes, with each question run multiple times per wave so movement can be separated from the natural variation in AI answers. Frequency is set per engagement.

Can I see it before committing to anything?

Yes. The free AI visibility check gives a first reading on your brand in minutes, and the 45-day diagnostic is the full measurement with a plan attached. If you would rather talk first, book a call.

Who is behind it?

SearchIntel, a UK AI search intelligence agency founded by Paul Byrne after 20 years in search at MediaCom, Google and TripAdvisor's Viator. The plain-English company explainer is at what is SearchIntel.
